About The Position

Reporting to the Fleet Administration Manager, the License and Registration Specialist will be an integral part of our Fleet and Equipment Teams working daily with Equipment Manufacturing, DOT Management, Service Operations, Controllership and External Suppliers. In this position, the License and Registration Specialist will be responsible for the Fleet Titling and Registration, IFTA Reporting, and Toll Management. This role will coordinate with various stakeholders and suppliers to manage the setup, deployment, renewal, and decommissioning of Base and IRP plates, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations across US and Canada. The License and Registration Specialist will oversee IFTA Reporting and Policies, working with our Operations Team to accurately report and maintain personal mileage. Lastly, the License and Registration Specialist will coordinate with our external suppliers to reconcile toll costs and will maintain, distribute, and track toll tags.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, finance, supply chain, or equivalent experience in Fleet Management with emphasis on registrations, IFTA, and IRP with certifications.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in licensing and registration of fleet vehicles or other fleet management processes that require maintaining critical business information.
  • Detail orientated with prior experience in ownership of and improvement in business processes.
  • Critical thinking skills with ability to independently mine, transform, and analyze large amounts of data using various systems and data analytics tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with using various ERP/MRP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time, though this will be limited.

Nice To Haves

  • Procurement certifications, such as: RMP (Registration Management Professional).
  • Experience and understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of big data, working in Power BI, and ability digitize KPI’s.
  • Business acumen with ability to translate results
  • Experience in infrastructure construction, manufacturing, and/or subcontracting.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the Titling and Registration, IFTA Reporting, and Toll Management processes and associated vendors used in the setup, renewal, and decommissioning of fleet vehicles.
  • Coordinate all documentation to and from responsible parties and maintain copies of all registrations in applicable systems.
  • Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to ensure that 100% of all newly purchased and manufactured vehicles are registered prior to being deployed to field.
  • Lead annual IRP renew process, coordinating with our various vendors and other responsible parties, including local and state authorities.
  • Report out on key KPI’s and cycle times around Licensing and Registrations, IFTA Reporting, and Toll Managements across US and Canada.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and other key operating mechanisms.
  • Identify process simplification areas, digitization efforts (PowerBI), and work with team to drive improvements.
