This position will serve both the San Luis Obispo and North County Campus and will require evening hours. DEFINITION Under general supervision, perform a variety of specialized technical library duties involving direct contact with students, staff, faculty, and community members; perform library work requiring basic to complex understanding of library principles, practices and procedures, and may assist within the different areas of Library and perform other related work as required. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Library Technician II class is distinguished from other classes in that incumbents are expected to assist in the overall operation of the District's Library. Incumbents independently apply basic to complex college library policies and procedures. Incumbents in the Library Technician classes support Student Learning Outcomes by acquiring, processing, organizing resources, and assisting students to locate and use Library resources relevant to their collegiate assignments.
