About The Position

The Library Research & User Experience Assistant works alongside the Outreach & User Experience Librarian to help improve library services and resources for BYU–Hawaii students and faculty. This student employee will assist with a variety of projects, including data organization, website improvements, and exploring new technologies like AI research tools. It is a great fit for a curious, motivated student who enjoys learning new things and taking on meaningful work.

Requirements

  • Lower Division Courses Completed
  • 3 Months of Directly Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

  • Help organize and label library databases by subject area so they are easy for students to find and use.
  • Assist with writing simple, clear descriptions for library databases and research tools.
  • Support website updates and help make library web pages easier to navigate.
  • Help explore and build AI tools that can assist students with finding library resources.
  • Assist with collecting and organizing data to support library projects and outreach efforts.
  • Help track project progress and keep tasks organized across ongoing library initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
