Working remotely or from the Durham office, the North Carolina licensed and certified School Library Media Coordinator leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive media program aligned to state and national standards and the school improvement plan. This role extends beyond traditional library management to serve as a school-wide resource for digital literacy, instruction, and systems development. The coordinator ensures equitable access to high-quality digital resources, supports instructional practices across content areas, and develops practical tools and processes that improve teaching, learning, and data visibility.The ideal candidate operates as a school-wide resource leader, combining literacy expertise, technology integration, and practical problem-solving to support instruction and drive outcomes for both students and staff. The School Library Media Coordinator supports and motivates students and instructional staff through high-quality virtual instruction using Pearson Online Classroom. Through the use of the telephone, internet, and various curriculum and communication tools, they will consult frequently with instructional staff, learning coaches, and students to ensure that each child successfully completes their instructional program.
