About The Position
The Library Information Specialist at the Santa Cruz Public Libraries is a skilled paraprofessional role primarily focused on Adult Programs and Services at the Downtown Branch. This position involves providing technical and clerical services, including circulation, reference, readers advisory, programming, and collection management. The specialist will also assist with public service desk shifts in Youth Services and may work at other branches or in the community. The role requires advanced knowledge and skills beyond that of a Library Assistant II, and it is supervised by the Adult Programs & Services Manager.
