Our busy, customer-focused branch is looking for a part-time Library Clerk (24 hours/week) who enjoys being the friendly first point of contact—whether that’s guiding patrons through checkouts, helping them find the perfect book, troubleshooting printing or scanning, or offering patient support to users with all levels of tech experience. Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, a genuine customer-service mindset, and an eagerness to learn everything from basic readers’ advisory to optional notary services. With a schedule that includes 8 hours shifts, including a Friday/Saturday rotation and one evening shift per week, this role is perfect for someone adaptable, community-oriented, and excited to help our patrons who rely on face-to-face assistance for everything from business services to everyday library needs. The person in this position will be trained to be a passport agent. Willingness to be a notary is a plus. Position Summary An employee serving in this position advances the mission of the Library by providing direct public service. This role is responsible for performing clerical work related to customer assistance and services, circulation, and the collections as well as providing support to other Library staff as needed.
