Horizons provides a variety of human services across Eastern Iowa including Transportation, Financial Wellness, and Meals on Wheels Programs. What it's like to be a Library Cafe Manager As the Library Café Manager, you will oversee daily operations with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Each day, you can expect to manage staff schedules, coordinate café inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You'll facilitate training for new employees, emphasizing our core values of empathy and integrity. Your role will also involve collaborating with library staff to organize community events and promote café offerings. Daily tasks will include preparing and serving delicious food and beverages, handling customer inquiries, and fostering a team environment focused on problem-solving and inclusion. Your schedule will primarily be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evenings or weekend shifts as needed, providing advanced notice for any adjustments.
