About The Position

The Library Associate - Virtual Services - Substitute role is designed to provide assistance to library patrons through phone and online channels. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• One year of related experience or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in Spanish
• Experience with Innovative Interfaces, Inc.'s Sierra or other automated library systems
• Skill in creating training content with software like Camtasia and GoToWebinar.

Responsibilities

• Answers patron requests for information and assistance via phone and online.
• Serves as the first point of contact for patrons, guiding them in searching the catalog and accessing databases.
• Assists patrons with renewing materials, placing holds, and paying fines.
• Applies digital technology skills to assist patrons in using library technology.
• Creates self-help and instructional content for virtual training and navigation sources.
• Provides assistance and support with special projects and patron services.
• Assists the Supervisor with department operations and tasks.
