About The Position
The City of Norfolk's Department of Libraries is currently seeking a full-time Library Associate I for its Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch who will perform customer service roles at the public service desks, as well as engage in Children's and Teen programming with regular programs for the public, and will engage in outreach activities. The Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch at Broad Creek is a cornerstone of Norfolk's library system, serving as a vibrant hub for education, culture, and community gathering. Jordan-Newby offers resources tailored to meet the unique needs of its diverse community. With a focus on youth engagement, lifelong learning, and digital literacy, Jordan-Newby delivers impactful services, including robust technology offerings, extensive collections, and collaborative spaces. The branch is committed to fostering partnerships that strengthen community ties and enhance the quality of life in the Broad Creek neighborhood and all of Norfolk.
