About The Position
Our Parachute Branch Library is seeking a passionate and service-oriented professional to join our talented team as a Library Assistant. In this role, you'll contribute to the community while fostering a positive, supportive, and fun work environment. Library Assistants provide excellent customer service across all major areas of public library service, including: Helping patrons at the information desk Assisting with check-outs, holds, and returns Guiding readers to just the right materials Offering technology support for devices, computers, and printers Connecting people with community resources Creating engaging, eye-catching library displays Supporting day-to-day branch operations If this sounds like rewarding work-and you're available to work weekends and some evenings-we'd love to hear from you!
Requirements
- Friendly, empathetic, and service-oriented
- A team player who enjoys learning and collaboration
- Skilled at working with diverse patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Comfortable with technology and eager to assist others
- Flexible and available to work weekends and some evenings
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus one (1) year of clerical or customer service experience with technology proficiency (Microsoft Suite, Apple products, web browsers)
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree or higher
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills
