This position is for the Dr C P Garcia Public Library. The Library Assistant is the frontline for library service and is required to deliver excellent customer service and have strong interpersonal skills. Under the supervision of the managing Librarian, they will perform a variety of Library related tasks such as assist patrons at the public service desk, demonstrate information literacy, process library materials, copy cataloging, assist with computer related tasks and new technologies, interlibrary loan requests and processes, assist with programs, and create marketing material for distribution. This job exists to provide Corpus Christi residents with library services and resources. Evenings and weekends are required.
