The Department of Social Services (DSS) is comprised of the administrative units of the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). The agency is dedicated to fighting poverty and income inequality by providing New Yorkers in need with essential benefits. The DSS McMillan Library, Archives, and Digital Records is located at DSS headquarters at 4 World Trade Center, serves and supports agency staff at all levels in all five boroughs. Holdings include a growing print collection, eBooks, subject files, and print and digital archive. Under the direction of the Library Director, with very great latitude for the exercise of independent judgment or action, the Librarian will perform highly sophisticated and responsible work in archival, library, and records management. The DSS McMillan Library, Archives, and Digital Records is recruiting for one (1) Associate Public Records Officer II to function as a Librarian who will report to the DSS Library Director, with duties that include, but are not limited to:
