The Librarian focuses on system initiatives and committee work, information services, collection maintenance, program and service creation, system level support for smaller community libraries and community engagement -- making connections, developing relationships and providing services, spaces, and resources that are representative of diverse cultures and perspectives, intentionally inclusive, and accessible to everyone while supporting community organizations and promoting the library. The Lake Stevens Library is a medium-sized library centrally located within the East District of Sno-Isle Libraries' service area. The City of Lake Stevens is a rapidly growing and diverse community that surrounds the largest natural lake in Snohomish County. The Lake Stevens Library provides programming, collections, and services that largely focus on early learning, children, and families. A new Lake Stevens library is under construction and is anticipated to open later this year.
