About The Position

The Librarian IV position is primarily responsible for supervising a major section of the Central Library or a large branch library with significant annual circulation. This role involves overseeing library operations, managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality library services to the community. The position may also include performing various duties as assigned, with a focus on enhancing library services and programs.

Requirements

• Master of Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Degree AND three years of full-time experience as a professional Librarian.
• Master's Degree accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) AND three years of full-time experience as a professional Librarian.
• Master's Degree or equivalent education AND three and a half years of full-time experience as a professional Librarian.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education with at least 9 semester/14 quarter units of library science course work AND four and a half years of full-time experience as a professional Librarian.
