About The Position

The Librarian Information Specialist is responsible for cataloging physical and digital materials, maintaining accurate records in statewide and national databases, and supporting the customization and implementation of the Integrated Library System. This role involves original and copy cataloging, managing authority files, resolving data issues, and recommending improvements to workflows, policies, and technologies. The specialist collaborates with faculty to integrate information literacy into the curriculum and uses data analytics and library systems to enhance discovery, improve services, and support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in library and information studies or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• One year of experience related to customer service and library experience is preferred.
• Strong technology skills related to libraries and higher education.
• Proficiency with emerging technologies, particularly experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in library settings.
