About The Position
The position coordinates and performs a variety of professional-level library work in areas such as children's services, adult services, or technical services. Responsibilities include selecting materials for the library collection, providing reference and reader's advisory services, and performing related duties as assigned. The role involves planning, scheduling, implementing, and publicizing educational and informational library programs, as well as maintaining statistics on program attendance and preparing reports. The position also includes providing engaging educational programs for children, performing original MARC cataloging, and promoting library programs and services.
