About The Position

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is seeking a qualified candidate for a permanent position as a Liaison Officer. This role involves serving as the primary representative of the agency to an outside agency or major military command, providing assessments of impacts from various events on critical infrastructure, and engaging with key leadership for coordination and expertise in critical infrastructure matters. The position is located in Hawaii Island, HI, and requires a security clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• All Federal employees are required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer for salary payments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance suitable for Federal employment.
• Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
• One-year probationary period may be required.
• Must be able to serve during continuity of operation events without regard to declarations of liberal leave or government closures.
• Position has been identified as a drug testing designated position.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Liaison Officer to an outside agency or major military command.
• Provides assessment of and presents actual or predicted impacts of natural, cyber, or other manmade events on critical infrastructure.
• Sole representative of the agency and engages with key leadership and staff for coordination of response and to provide subject matter expertise in areas concerning critical infrastructure.
• Explains CISA's mission, policies, authorities, organization, products, services, and incident response to Department of Defense military, civilian, and contractor personnel, including general officers and senior executive service members.
