About The Position
ChristianaCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Level II for a job in Elk Mills, Maryland. This position is full-time, requiring 40 hours weekly with 8-hour shifts, and involves both day and evening shifts, with some weekends required. As a Pharmacy Technician II/Computer Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting the pharmacy information team with the maintenance of all computer and automated dispensing systems, including Omnicell, Swisslog, and Pyxis. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous functionality of pharmacy information systems and supporting the Pharmacy Supply Chain teams. In this position, you will be responsible for synchronizing ADT information between PharmNet and the automated dispensing systems, performing new unit/room builds and testing in Omnicell/Pyxis, and resolving daily billing discrepancies. You will also provide backup support for non-formulary charges and assist with system maintenance for Omnicell/Pyxis cabinets and BD logistics Carousel. Your role will involve troubleshooting printer issues within the Pharmacy department and supporting data extracts from PharmNet and Omnicell/Pyxis, which includes medication usage requests and inventory location inquiries. Additionally, you will support daily operations by serving as a resource for pharmacy and nursing staff, orienting and training new pharmacy staff on system functionalities, and documenting system problems for resolution. You will coordinate the ordering and delivery of new equipment, perform functional testing of upgrades, and maintain user security privileges in the dispensing systems. This position also includes performing the principal duties of a pharmacy technician I and supporting interdepartmental billing and purchasing functions as needed.
