About The Position

North Star Scientific Corporation is seeking a Level I Technician to support the assembly, fabrication, and testing of electronic components, circuit boards, and subassemblies. This entry-level technical role provides an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in soldering, troubleshooting, testing, and interpreting engineering documentation while working in a collaborative manufacturing and engineering environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology, Electrical Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and one to three (1–3) years of relevant military or industry experience may be considered.
  • One to three (1–3) years of experience in fabrication and testing of RF, analog, or digital circuits.
  • Experience may include instructional or supervised technical training.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic fabrication and testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and standard PC applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow technical direction.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with soldering and cable / wire harness fabrication.
  • Exposure to RF testing environments or precision electronic assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and test digital, analog, and RF circuits, electronic assemblies, and subassemblies.
  • Utilize circuit plotters, soldering stations, manual hand tools, and electronic test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, and digital multimeters (DMMs).
  • Install surface mount and through-hole components, including microminiature integrated circuits and associated hardware.
  • Apply conductive and non-conductive coatings and plating to circuit boards and enclosures under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of electronic circuits and assemblies.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit board layouts with increasing proficiency.
  • Support testing and fabrication activities for RF and digital systems.
  • Assist senior technicians and engineering staff in completing production and programming requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
