About The Position

The Level I & II RT Technician position at Mistras Group Inc. involves performing non-destructive testing (NDT) operations, specifically using radiography to inspect piping, tanks, and vessels. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 12 months prior NDT experience required.
• Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as required and appropriate.

Nice To Haves

• Radiographic Testing I certification
• Radiographic Testing II certification

Responsibilities

• Perform piping/vessel inspections in a lay down yard using Radiography and report findings.
• Train RT assistants, run the film, and grade the film per specific procedures directed by the customer.
• Set up and calibrate equipment and interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and provide on-the-job training and guidance to trainees and NDT level I personnel.
• Organize and report the results of NDT tests.
• Generate NDT data, organize data, and report findings.
• Evaluate data for disposition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
