Level 4 Production Lead X-Treme Belts Day Shift

About the position

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos, Airheads, Dentyne, Trident and Bubblicious!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We're currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Production Lead to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of production lines to ensure timely and efficient production of high-quality products.
• Hold personnel accountable for performance and actively coach and develop people, including disciplinary actions.
• Organize and conduct on-the-job and formal training programs for production hourly employees.
• Keep supervisor informed of work activities and any employee issues or concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to work in all functional areas.
• Trained in lock-out/tag-out procedures and hazard communications.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of GMPS, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
• Must be able to wear hearing protection in designated areas.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to push and pull batches of candy weighing up to 350 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities preferred.
