SES Space & Defense, (SES S&D), line of business operates a Level 3 Engineer Office from Bristow, Virginia. Each member of the SES S&D team plays an integral part with incident management while proactively managing a Global Network of Terminals operating on regional networks 24x7x365. The Level 3 Engineering team must maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of user technology products and services. These functions include IT Support Levels (Tiers), design, fabrication, integration, configuration, testing, and acceptance as defined by ITILv4 as Level 3/Tier 3 functions as well as work with antenna manufacturers across all communications platforms. As a Level 3 Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing our intricate regional networks. These networks span shared satellite teleports, commercial gateways, data centers, terrestrial fiber circuits, and terrestrial microwave radios. You'll leverage advanced ticketing and network monitoring tools to ensure seamless operations. Your role will be pivotal in troubleshooting anomalies, conducting installations, providing training, and performing on-site maintenance. You'll tackle issues head-on, both before and after service interruptions, delivering solutions that Tier 1/2 Technicians in the Global Network Operations Center and Field Services can't resolve. You'll be the go-to expert for restoring and maintaining our services, ensuring our customers experience uninterrupted connectivity.
