Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related Technical/Scientific field.
  • 7 years’ experience within HVAC&R; or 10 years of technical experience within HVAC&R without a bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex product system problems.
  • Knowledge of controls, control panels, system wiring, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to write technical documents and literature.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and risk identification for serviceability, safety, short-term quality, and long-term reliability.
  • Support the PTS organization, Field Sales, Service organization, and engineering teams for complex issues.
  • Create and maintain technical literature, service bulletins, and service letters for NPI programs and existing platforms.
  • Drive product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process for both existing and new products.
  • Assist or create test plans to prove out new and existing product equipment offerings.
  • Maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes in work responsibilities or environment.
  • Create novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers.
  • Implement service practices that meet the customers’ and organization’s needs.
  • Ensure others contribute to organization strategies and driving operational discipline.
  • Identify and understand problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information.
