About The Position

Technician III is the third working level in the series. Technicians perform moderate to complex technical tasks related to the analysis of telecommunications technician series. This requires telecommunication level proficiency of full range activities. Job duties require material handling, development plans, inspections, test reports, safety control, specifications and contract administration. This position may provide leading directions to subordinates and have field project responsibility. This is a 100% travel position.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of hand tools.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to roll out data cabling.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to climb, crawl, and stand for multiple hours.
Ability to work outdoors on ladders, and in confined spaces.
Ability to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions.
Ability to work with/around electrical wires and/or ESD products.

Responsibilities

Perform complex installations of both software and hardware.
Maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a variety of equipment in one or more of the following areas: integration, migration, fiber or other network equipment.
Fiber and Copper installation, repair, and maintenance.
Focus on the telecommunications system hardware installation, deployment, and the connectivity that is required to make the system work together.
Build the infrastructure, physically install telecommunications hardware, and make the necessary connections.
Lead a onsite project with a team.
Technician will complete status updates and all necessary documents to complete a project.
