About The Position

Davis Technology Management is seeking a Level 2 Systems Engineer to support our growing Managed Services practice. As a small, fast-moving MSP, we rely on engineers who bring strong technical fundamentals, excellent client communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of issues across diverse environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, variety throughout the day, and being part of a tight-knit technical team serving multiple client environments. Environment : Microsoft ecosystem, team collaboration, and hands-on learning within a growing MSP

Requirements

  • A strong Level 2 engineer with 3–5+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration.
  • MSP background strongly preferred, including familiarity with ticketing, SLAs and multi-client environments.
  • Solid experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, and modern cloud-based solutions.
  • Comfort with networking fundamentals, including firewalls and switching (SonicWall, UniFi, Fortinet, or similar).
  • A problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment, communicates clearly, and enjoys helping clients.
  • Someone who values documentation, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause resolution across Windows desktops, servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and common SaaS platforms.
  • Manage tickets escalated from Level 1 and serve as the primary point of contact for higher-complexity issues.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and monitoring across client infrastructures.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
  • Assist with onboarding of new clients, including environment assessments and documentation.
  • Deploy and support backup solutions, security tools, and remote monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on project-based work such as server deployments, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
