About The Position

Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with broad experience and local knowledge who can represent our clients on-demand and on-site faster than our competitors. You will be supporting SQA's national source inspection team in the field by traveling to different supplier sites within your area and performing source inspection to our client's specifications. You will be a quality representative for our client on behalf of SQA to support supplier quality improvements. We are searching for a qualified Quality Mechanical Inspector in Butler, PA. This is a full-time opportunity in which you will be supporting our client at one or more supplier sites in and around Philadelphia, PA, 1-4+ days per week (approximately 15-40 hours/week). This critical role requires an experienced professional with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of quality assurance practices. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deescalate workplace conflicts
  • Ability to adapt to multiple environments and groups within supplier operations
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, and work in tight spaces
  • Experience with specific commodity based on parts inspected

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with aerospace standards.
  • Experience using calibrated inspection tools.
  • Experience with quality assurance principles, methods, and processes.
  • Intermediate level skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Intermediate level skill with Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed in-process and end-of-line inspections on flight hardware.
  • Document anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes.
  • Communicate and help resolve quality related issues as they relate to the site.
  • Process non-conforming products and assist engineering in root cause analysis and corrective action if asked.
  • Routinely observe technical operations and offer guidance and/or serve as an additional technical resource.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
