About The Position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Position Summary: The Switch Assembly Operator assembles mechanical switches, under direct supervision by the team leader.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
  • Must be able to use a microscope.
  • Must be able to use a soldering iron.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience.
  • Control plan related to the assembly of switches.
  • Mechanical switch assembly instructions.
  • Ability to use mechanical measuring tools such as caliper, pin gauge, depth gauge, etc.
  • Read, write and verbally communicate in English.
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment
  • Ability and willingness to abide by Company’s Code of Conduct

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and care of tools and equipment used.
  • To perform soldering of small components.
  • Mount reeds and terminals.
  • Perform automated contact resistance and pick up voltage test.
  • Visually inspect and check all work.
  • Prepare can cover of switches.
  • Mount magnet into the holder.
  • Responsible for keeping the work area neat and clean.
  • Perform bar code clock on, clock off job worked on.
  • Mechanical switch assembly instructions.
  • To stop the process if a problem is observed and inform the lead person/technician.
