About The Position

The Level 1 Licensing Navigator is the primary point of contact to manage all referrals and inquiries regarding any relative/nonrelative caregiver who is Level 1 Licensed or is in the process of becoming Level 1 Licensed. The Navigator will be able to guide Community Partners and caregivers in locating information and the most appropriate person within the team to provide updated case information to. The Navigator must be able to multi-task and work independently as this job entails a high volume of emails and or inquiries, while also updating trackers in Excel and case assignments in statewide system, Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN).

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current Background Clearance Screening Letter
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and insurable by agency’s current insurance carrier
  • Ability to meet Organizational Required Competency standards
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and self-initiate duties

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced would be someone who has worked in FSFN.

Responsibilities

  • Updates and maintains the caseload tracker, which includes Worker Names, Caregiver Information, Dates of Referrals, etc.
  • Provides updated information to the Level 1 Team regarding all Out of County and Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children Requests for Circuit 5.
  • Provides detailed responses for when inquiries are received regarding the current status of licensures.
  • Updates and maintains the current Placement Status in FSFN which generates all board payments for our licensed caregivers.
  • Updates and maintains case assignments in FSFN for Level 1 Staff as directed by Level 1 Supervisors
  • Participates in monthly unit meetings with the entire Level 1 to assess current caseloads and work with the supervisors in providing information for case assignments from the tracker.
  • Participate in monthly supervisions with Level 1 Supervisor to discuss current and upcoming workload
  • Maintains inventory of several items frequently bought for our Level 1 Caregivers to assist with meeting licensing standards and submit order requests as needed.
  • Potentially assist caregivers with providing additional resources as needed
  • Review and initiate relative/non-relative background screening documentation including Adam Walsh out of state checks and in Circuit Fingerprint appointments when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
