About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) to join our team at Potosi Correctional Center located in Mineral Point, Missouri. The Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH).
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years).
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
