About The Position

The Lutheran Home is seeking a compassionate Level 1 Med Aide and CNA to join our healthcare community for a 12-hour night shift. Working primarily in assisted living, you’ll provide support and quality care to residents while administering medications as needed, all guided by our values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship. Requirements

Current Missouri Level 1 Med Aide certification with Insulin Administration from the Department of Health and Senior Services
Current Missouri CNA certification
Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Administer medications and maintain records while working in the L1MA role
Take vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Respond promptly to emergencies and resident needs
Help with meal service, room upkeep, and safe use of medical equipment
Communicate resident requests or concerns in a timely manner
Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse
Promote a positive team culture and participate in ongoing staff education and training
