Staffing Model Special Educator Two Special Education Paraeducators Let’s Grow Teacher Responsibilities The Let’s Grow Citywide Special Educator is responsible for planning and instruction for the general Pre-K and Kindergarten curriculum as well as addressing IEP goals for individual students within the special education setting. In addition, the Let’s Grow Citywide Special Educator will collaborate with the general education teachers to plan and implement instruction in the general education setting during inclusion time Provides core curriculum instruction and specialized instruction toward IEP goals in the Let’s Grow special education classroom Completes district assessments Inputs grades into Illuminate Completes all formal assessments Completes IEP report cards and all IEP paperwork Models best practices in Universal Design for Learning, differentiation, and the use of visuals as needed in the general education classrooms Collaborates with the General Educator to plan instruction and develop schedules.
