About The Position

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Surge Lessons Learned Collection Analyst to support the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Staff Training Program at Quantico, VA. The Surge Analyst will conduct formal LL collections, perform interviews and debriefs, and provide analytical synthesis. This surge position augments the MAGTF Analysis Section during formal Lessons Learned collections and reinforces embedded analysts during high-tempo mission cycles. The Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned (MCCLL) often executes simultaneous collections at multiple locations, creating resource constraints that surge support is designed to prevent. This position ensures that bottlenecks do not occur when overlapping collections or large-force events exceed embedded analyst capacity.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to support surge requirements on short notice
  • Willingness to travel frequently and on short notice
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and military planning systems
  • Physical ability to operate in field environments during collections

  • Support all MAGTF elements (Command Element, Ground Combat Element, Aviation Combat Element, Logistics Combat Element)
  • Compile and organize raw LL data for analysis and report production
  • Assist in drafting sections of formal LL reports and products
  • Coordinate with embedded analysts and MAGTF element subject matter experts
