About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Program Instructor III will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in aerobic and/or fitness classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, or its equivalent, and 3-4 years’ experience is required
• A minimum of 18 years of age
• Knowledgee of basic exercise science, biomechanics principles and fitness class leadership are required
• Ability to successfully demonstrate aerobic choreography.
• Verbally provide clear concise directions and visually inspect classroom for safety
• Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
