About The Position

The Optometric Technician at LensCrafters plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience during eye examinations. Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Problem-solving ability and organizational skills.
• Ability to assess priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of office environment and strong basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail and/or optical settings.
• Experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and display a professional image.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations by obtaining medical history and preparing patients.
• Perform tests to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs.
• Handle and file all patient records in an organized manner in accordance with HIPAA.
• Support retention and cultivation of exams through follow-up calls.
• Place contact lens trial orders and maintain the contact lens room.
• Utilize the CIAO system for inputting customer data and insurance information.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
