About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Lending Technology supports the Lending Technology Manager in leading the administration, support, and optimization of lending technology and operational compliance platforms. This role ensures the effective operation of systems by providing direct supervision and guidance to the team responsible for system maintenance, configuration, and support. Key responsibilities include implementing team development initiatives, driving strategic direction, monitoring performance data, enforcing service level agreements (SLA’s) and analyzing outcomes to set clear expectations. The Assistant Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement technological solutions that align with business goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support compliance and member experience.

Requirements

  • 4 years progressive experience working in a financial setting , systems administration , or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in lending technology, data analytics, product management , or process improvement experience
  • Experience with employee-facing technology platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, information systems, or a related field ; or three years of progressive experience in a lending , technology , or systems administration environment.
  • Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of a subordinate group of employees (2-10)
  • Has managerial responsibilities including coaching and developing employees , overseeing and evaluating the work of employees, participating in projects , and presenting to leadership
  • Estimates personnel needs and assigns work to meet these needs
  • Recommends candidates for employment, conducts performance evaluations, reviews salary for assigned staff, and applies company policy
  • Knowledge of lending software/platforms including end-user and administrative functions
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology , results, and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations
  • Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of lending technology platforms, including LOS and quality control systems
  • Familiarity with software development practices and project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and troubleshooting of software systems
  • Ability to lead and support technical staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptive to change, responds positively to altered circumstances or conditions
  • Comfortable working with remote team members and third-party partners across multiple time zones using telecommunications
  • Ability to sit, talk and hear consistently
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or reach occasionally

  • Experience working in the ServiceNow ticketing system preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with programming languages or technology used to support products and services preferred
  • Experience interacting within ServiceNow for issue tracking, project management, and system support preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversees team of lending technology system administrators and/or analysts
  • Accompanies the Lending Technology Manager in implementing team development initiatives and strategic direction
  • Supports the Lending Technology Manager in managing technology and vendor projects/platforms that have lending touch points
  • Supports technology and vendor projects by determining when to involve system administrators, ensuring a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing support.
  • Assists in the implementation and maintenance of lending technology systems, including configuration, testing, and deployment
  • Oversees support operations for lending and compliance platforms, ensuring timely resolution of service tickets and system issues
  • Collaborates with lending leadership , operational compliance leadership, and internal teams to align technology initiatives with business goals
  • Participates in the development and implementation of secure, efficient, and scalable technology solutions
  • Performs data analysis and evaluates trends to identify emerging risks and make recommendations
  • Works with the Data Analytics and ETL team to update existing processes , automate new processes , and create DataVision dashboards
  • Identifies and implements process improvements automation opportunities , including the evaluation and integration of ethical AI solutions to enhance operations
  • Advises on API functionality to support integrations, ensuring data flow integrity and operational alignment
  • Maintains relationships with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Ensures the integrity and security of various lending systems, including but not limited to, Encompass and ACES
  • Encourages collaboration among team members by breaking down silos and identifying opportunities for cross-training
  • Coaches, develops , and mentors both direct reports and lending technology team members
  • Maintains working knowledge of the loan lifecycle , including compliance processes and procedures
  • Delegates , tracks , and prioritizes project tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Provides input on system enhancements, risk assessments, and compliance requirements
  • Creates monthly reporting on team production and efficiency , ensuring KPI’s, KRI’s and SLA’s are achieved
  • Utilizes raw data to create actionable reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned
