Lending Program Specialist
About The Position
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting community development? NeighborImpact is seeking a dedicated Lending Program Specialist to join our dynamic team in the lending department. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our operations, handling everything from processing loan applications to maintaining crucial client documentation. Join us and become a key player in driving financial empowerment within our community! NeighborImpact's lending program offers a variety of loan products designed to assist with home rehabilitation, septic replacement, well repair, and down payment assistance. These loans are provided at reasonable interest rates and are subject to availability of funds, income guidelines, and specific program requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma OR GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office setting required
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft 365 (including Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and Windows/PC platforms required
- A high level of organization and careful attention to detail required
- Must obtain notary certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to travel throughout the tri-county area to attend outreach and community events
- Access to reliable transportation
- Satisfactory criminal background check required.

Responsibilities
- Communication with interested applicants
- Borrower income qualification
- Contractor communications
- Database management and program reporting
- Managing invoices and project files
- Compliance with federal, state and local regulations, grant requirements and agency policies
