About The Position

The position involves assisting in the production process at Saputo, a leading global dairy processor. The role focuses on ensuring product quality, adhering to safety and sanitation standards, and supporting the manufacturing team in various tasks. Employees will work primarily on the first shift during weekends, with potential for additional shifts, and are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and teamwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute tasks in a compliant manner as outlined in related policies, programs, SOP's, etc.
• Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
• Ability to read and understand production and packaging schedule and packaging verification reports.
• Physically able to do medium to heavy work, including lifting 25-30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up for production and changeovers.
• Interact with manufacturing concerning string and bulk quality production concerns.
• Unwrap improperly sealed cheese and re-feed rejects.
• Report all questionable product and/or foreign material in product to Team Leader.
• Utilize SPC charting for weight and quality checks.
• Observe all safety rules, work rules and procedures.
• Know all clean-up procedures and chemical handling procedures.
• Operate and maintain foamer.
• Perform other duties as assigned due to short-term, unforeseen manufacturing changes or needs.
