About The Position

Celebrating 50 Years of Impact - Be the Leader Who Builds Great Futures. As the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates its 50th Anniversary of serving our community, we are looking for a mission-driven individual to lead our Lemmon Valley Clubhouse. The Lemmon Valley Clubhouse Coordinator oversees daily site operations and ensures the delivery of high-quality programs aligned with Club standards and youth development outcomes. This role provides leadership to staff and volunteers, maintains a safe and well-managed environment, serves as a primary contact for families, and represents the Club within the community while ensuring compliance, resource management, and program quality. Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs to youth and teens or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting, and/or bending for long periods of time.
  • May occasionally be required to kneel, run and/or climb.
  • Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to perform surface and deep cleaning appropriately using potentially hazardous cleaners including bleach, as needed.
  • Must be able to lift, move manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds. Objects that exceed the 45-pound weight limit require additional assistance when moving, lifting or manipulating.

  • You will need to provide 3 references. These references must be professional references.
  • You will also be asked to complete a drug screen, background check, and fingerprint check.

Responsibilities

  • Actively recruit and register new members and families, and promote consistent member participation in Club programs.
  • Represent the Club by communicating the mission, program objectives, and scope of opportunities available for families and members.
  • Ensure that all areas of the the clubhouse are well maintained, in excellent working condition, and are safe and secure at all times.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in accordance with meeting and exceeding core program objectives.
  • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with parents, local civic groups, school district partners, and social agencies within the community.
  • Manage financial resources, including grant reporting and adherence to departmental budgets.
