Overview Barnes & Noble College is seeking dynamic, friendly, and customer-focused team members to as temporary team members for a period of 90 days or less in our Shipping & Receiving department. In Shipping & Receiving you will spend the majority of your time between a warehouse setting and the sales floor ensuring the store has the products to service our customers.

Requirements

• Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to be considered for employment.
• Friendly personality, with strong communication skills to interact with a variety of people.
• Outstanding customer service skills to work with vendors, customers, and team members.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipments, orders, and invoices—verifying all for accuracy.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
• Use hand tools, power tools, online shipping services, or postage meters.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all departments in the store to be able to greet and provide support to customers and team members.
• Shelve, arrange, and categorize stock according to specific criteria that changes frequently.
• Clean the store and warehouse are to maintain a safe and efficient work floor.
• May provide periodic assistance with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Routine housekeeping including, for example, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.
