About The Position

This opportunity involves directing an organization's policies and objectives concerning government and regulations. The role requires applying advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including comprehensive industry knowledge. The manager will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to complex problems, working without considerable direction, and mentoring and supervising team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing congressional engagement efforts for federal government organizations
  • 3+ years of experience organizing and managing senior leader and congressional engagements and meetings, including working across agencies and with outside vendors
  • 3+ years of experience performing legislative analysis and developing reports and briefings for legislative affairs and congressional engagements
  • Experience advising Command Group and appropriate staff or command elements on congressional aspects of policies, plans, and programs, and preparing leadership for congressional engagements, including testimony and visits
  • Experience planning meetings and events involving senior military and government civilian personnel and congressional representation
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of meeting, event, and travel planning for senior leaders and staff
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with senior military and civilian leaders, and congressional representatives and staff
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategy and programs for improving and maintaining strong relationships with Congress, and fostering and maintaining positive liaison and sustained state and local governmental support for Army programs and resources
  • Experience analyzing government programs and plans to determine potential areas of congressional interest, inquiry, or investigation
  • Knowledge of Public Affairs and working with Public Affairs offices
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Master's degree
