About The Position

Neal R. Gross & Co. (NRGCO) is a Washington, DC based Court Reporting and Transcription company. We have been in business for over 45 years and provide verbatim court reporting and transcription services to a broad range of government and private clients. We are looking to add legal transcribers for EOIR type of work: trials, administrative hearings, historical and investigational interviews, and meetings. This is a WORK FROM HOME position.

Requirements

• Legal transcription experience is required.
• Government Security Clearance is REQUIRED.
• Must be able to transcribe at least 3 hours of audio per week.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• High-speed internet connection.
• Internet research skills.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must type at least 60 WPM.

Nice To Haves

• AAERT certification is a plus.
• OPTIONAL - USB foot pedal (Infinity is a popular model).

Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio, notes, and a format provided by FTP accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Send completed verbatim transcripts according to the provided format.
• Proofread all work before submission.
