The Target Pay Range for this position is $71,000-$76,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget. The Legal Specialist position is responsible for managing the customer life cycle for all sales agreements. The Legal Specialist works with internal departments, including finance and sales, and external customers to facilitate and administer customer-facing agreements. This position prepares and maintains customer-facing documents, manages and audits internal processes, communicates with customers and provides legal analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in an administrative position, preferably in contract or legal administration.
  • Displays strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently as a self-starter, and cooperatively with team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Displays strong ability to make sound decisions based on information at hand.

  • Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software and E-mail.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts and communicates legal agreements/letters, as requested.
  • Exercises discretion and expertise on contract terms and enforceability.
  • Consults in-house legal counsel and outside legal counsel to ensure legal compliance and an understanding of implications.
  • Analyzes contracts and confers with relevant parties and legal counsel to detect ambiguities, inaccurate statements and omissions of essential terms, and identifies potential conflicts with legal prohibitions.
  • Reviews documents for accuracy and recommends necessary modifications.
  • Disseminates information to interested parties in format requested.
  • Works with outside legal counsel throughout litigation process.
  • Attends meetings, when required, for customer-facing contract proficiency and enforcement.
  • Work closely with applicable internal departments and Regional Managers to trouble-shoot issues pertaining to contract inefficiencies or process interruption.
  • Partner with cross-functional assessment of contract initiatives.
  • Follow up with customer requests and/or questions in a timely manner.
  • Maintains solid understanding of contract and agreement processes.
  • Attends meetings, when required, for customer-facing contract proficiency and enforcement.
  • Validates contract data across various business systems including but not limited to start and end dates, contract requirements, contract terminations, etc.
  • Maintains consistent knowledge of active contracts and agreements in effect.
  • Uses institutional knowledge to assist as required.
  • Other duties, as required.
