We are seeking an experienced Legal Specialist with a focus on foreclosures to join our Default Services team here at Third Federal. The Default Department’s goal is to keep our borrowers in their home. In this role, the Legal Specialist will be responsible for managing the foreclosure process for delinquent loans while providing excellent customer service and protecting the financial interests of Third Federal. The role will involve working in a collaborative, team environment and supporting the Default Servicing Managers.

Requirements

5+ years of mortgage lending default experience
Experience in mortgage loss mitigation
Detailed understanding of FNMA servicing guidelines
Experience working with legal counsel to support foreclosure and other legal matters
Ability to navigate situations, make decisions and understand Customer and Associate impact
Ability to prioritize work and maintain productivity under deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal/customer service skills; including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external customers
Attention to detail with effective research and analytical skills
Demonstrate the ability to work within a team environment
