Our Houston office is seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to join our high-volume Personal Injury team. This individual will support attorneys and paralegals in providing exceptional service to our clients and maintaining the firm’s commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and care. The Legal Secretary will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Personal Injury practice group. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience supporting attorneys in plaintiff personal injury litigation and enjoys working collaboratively in a results-driven team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or similar role in a Personal Injury law firm.
• Solid understanding of Texas court filing procedures and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• High attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals handling personal injury cases.
• Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
• File and serve legal documents in state and federal courts (electronically and in person as needed).
• Communicate with clients, court staff, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with firm procedures.
• Assist with case intake, discovery preparation, and trial binders when required.
• Process mail, maintain office supplies, and coordinate with internal departments to support overall operations.
