About The Position

Perkins Coie is seeking a dynamic, qualified candidate for the role of Legal Recruiting Coordinator. Under the direction of the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager, this position oversees recruiting and integration activities for law students and lateral associates. The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will play a crucial role in the recruitment process, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and effectively. This includes managing the logistics of the recruiting process, maintaining communication with candidates, and supporting the overall recruitment strategy of the firm. The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for law student recruiting and summer associate programs, which involves recommending interviewers, coordinating interview schedules, and compiling and distributing interviewer evaluations. The coordinator will also maintain and update On-Campus Interview (OCI) materials and the Applicant Tracking System (Workday), ensuring that all tracking documents for callback and Fellowship candidates are current. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with planning and executing the summer associate program, including pre-arrival and orientation activities, event planning, and administrative support for work allocation and evaluation processes. In terms of lateral recruiting and hiring, the coordinator will recommend interviewers, coordinate interview schedules, and handle all responsibilities related to the onboarding process for new hires. This includes processing first-day paperwork, scheduling orientation sessions, and maintaining Workday records. The coordinator will also create, update, and maintain departmental process documents, coordinate payment of placement fees and referral bonuses, and provide administrative support to the office hiring committee and summer program committee. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to take initiative and work independently. Discretion in handling confidential information is essential, as is the ability to work well under pressure and pay close attention to detail. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least two years of law firm recruiting experience, preferably in a national firm.
