About The Position

The Legal Operations Analyst at Constellation Energy plays a crucial role in supporting the Manager of Legal Operations by handling financial budget analysis, outside counsel management, document management, and various administrative tasks within the Legal department. This position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and capable of working collaboratively with various stakeholders, including clients and vendors. The analyst will also engage in IT project management and support the use of legal technology, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and work experience.
• Effective financial analysis skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Legal Operations and industry practices.
• Thorough computer-based analytical skills, including database management.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with e-billing and matter management systems.
• Experience with document management systems and contract management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager, Legal Operations in financial analysis and reporting, including long-range financial plans and forecasts.
• Engage with IT partners for Legal IT projects and processes, assisting with assessments and providing support for legal technology solutions.
• Manage the Legal Support Team mailbox and oversee equipment ordering and tracking.
• Process outside counsel invoices and ensure appropriate accounting codes are charged.
• Prepare contract requisitions and process contract change requests as needed.
• Provide support for Legal's matter management system, including vendor and timekeeper inquiries.
• Assist in document management, department communications, and contract life cycle management.
