About The Position

Legal Office Services Associate Mount Pleasant, SC (Onsite) 4+Month Contract Mon-Fri, 9am - 6 pm Qualifications Provide operational support within a legal office environment with a primary focus on high-volume printing, copying, scanning, and mail services. This role requires strong customer service, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive, time-critical documents with accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of legal industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with printing, mail handling, and document services preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and email systems
  • Technical aptitude with copiers, scanners, postage machines, and office equipment
  • Basic electronics and troubleshooting skills preferred
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and inventory tracking
  • Ability to manage confidential and time-sensitive materials with accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions/manuals
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to complete required training within 90 days

Responsibilities

  • Operate high-volume copiers, scanners, and mail processing equipment
  • Perform copying, binding, finishing, and document preparation tasks
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail, shipping, receiving, sorting, distribution, and postage application
  • Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot copier/printer equipment; clear jams and escalate issues
  • Ensure quality control of all documents due to sensitive legal content
  • Perform scanning, file conversion, naming, formatting, OCR processing, and FTP transfers
  • Manage Table of Contents (TOC) and assist with document organization and formatting (including Excel files)
  • Maintain service logs, meter readings, billing records, and supply inventory
  • Distribute office supplies, faxes, mail, and completed jobs to designated locations (on/off site)
  • Respond to and coordinate service calls; communicate job status with users
  • Perform filing, archiving, and document purging as required
  • Support hospitality, printer fleet, and additional office duties as assigned
  • Use bindery and finishing equipment (e.g., cutter, hole punch, shrink-wrap, staplers, etc.)
  • Provide professional support to legal staff including secretaries, paralegals, associates, and partners
