About The Position
Wilson Elser's White Plains office is seeking a part-time Legal Nurse Consultant to work up to 27 hours a week. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, encouraging candidates who prefer to work from home to apply. The Legal Nurse Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by providing expert analysis of medical records and related documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of medical and damages analyses, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both legal and medical professionals. The consultant will be responsible for identifying, organizing, and analyzing pertinent medical records, preparing comprehensive summaries, and conducting investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses. Additionally, the consultant will assist in evaluating case strengths and weaknesses, educate attorneys and clients on relevant medical issues, and prepare materials for expert witness review. Candidates should possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, and occasional travel to the White Plains office may be required.
