About The Position

SetPoint Medical's Legal intern contributes to groundbreaking projects and initiatives while getting hands-on experience for career development. As part of the internship program, motivated students and young leaders will be able to join a collaborative effort in one of our departments and expand upon your skills with a fundamental impact to the future of medicine. This fun, fast-paced environment will challenge your abilities in your respective field while offering exciting career development and team bonding activities throughout the summer. This paid internship will allow you to benefit professionally while helping SetPoint define a new therapeutic category of neuroimmune modulation. You will take ownership in projects or tasks with the help of a mentor to guide you along the way, and you will have the opportunity to interact with teams and leaders across the company. This Part-time position is in office, Monday - Friday, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA. Internship dates are flexible based on your school calendar.

Requirements

  • Current law student or recent graduate with coursework or experience in contract law and/or business law
  • Must be able to complete the internship duration: 6–9 months
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts and legal document management
  • Interest in legal operations, process improvement, and legal technology (experience with CLM tools is a plus but not required)
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Driven and enthusiastic about innovation and excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Team-oriented with qualities such as inclusivity, decisiveness, strong facilitation skills, a focus on process improvement, and approachability.

Nice To Haves

  • experience with CLM tools is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and cataloging existing business contracts, including identifying key terms and metadata
  • Supporting the implementation of a CLM system, including process mapping, workflow design, and documentation of contract management procedures
  • Assisting with improving contract agreement processes and internal compliance workflows
