You’re excited by the intersection of law, music, media, and business, and you want direct exposure to how in-house legal teams structure, negotiate, and operationalize real-world deals. If you’re looking for substantive experience reviewing agreements, supporting live transactions, and collaborating across business functions, this role is for you. As an intern at UMT, you are an integrated member of the team. You’ll spend 10 weeks ( gaining the kind of "hands-on" experience that actually moves the needle. Requirements

  • Current law student (rising 2L or 3L preferred)
  • Interest in entertainment law, music law, media, or commercial deal structures
  • Experience reviewing contracts or legal documents (coursework or prior internships acceptable)
  • This internship is based out of our Brooklyn, NY office, required to be in-person Tuesday through Thursday
  • Must to be able to attend the internship from June 2nd through August 7th

Responsibilities

  • Summarizing and analyzing agreements, including distribution agreements, music licenses, and enterprise partnership contracts
  • Supporting music licensing and clearance workflows
  • Tracking approvals and maintaining internal deal databases across departments
  • Assisting with contract intake, organization, and document management
  • Supporting live deals by preparing summaries, issue spot lists, and status updates
